I'm a new owner of a Harley. I bought a 2007 Softail Custom last fall and have been riding this spring. I had a Honda Shadow 1100 that had Cobra floorboards, and I miss the floorboards on the FXSTC. It seems there aren't a lot of choices. Can anyone make any recommendations? I'm thinking about the Kuryakyn 4445 SwitchBlade pegs.
Also, has anyone installed a Kuryakn driver backrest? I haven't taken any trips so I don't know how my back will hold up. But this backrest (I think it's the 8988) looks interesting.
Of course, scratching up the money to buy it is another matter.
i have the Kury backrest. it really helps on the long rides, takes the strain off your arms as well. i dont think it looks all that good on the bike and i remove it when i dont need it. the pad could be more comfy as well. but it is worth the money for the long trips.
