Well, I guess now the new rake will be my first project. I was planning to order the heartland rock-r kit tomorrow but the rush for that was to be able to give my girlfriend an actual backseat that she could be more comfortable on. But....she just called and broke up with me so guess I dont have to worry about that anymore. :-/
do the rockers ride well enough to do like a two or three hundred mile day? just curious. considering getting into a rocker c. and would like real owners input rather than what the salesman will tell me.

I've done 500+miles in a day on mine with no problems. I have mine lowerd and still running the stock seat. I'd say it would probably take yoru butt some adjusting to be able to though. I have friends I've let ride mine who ride it for 15mins and have to get off because they're used to gel seats w/ lots of cushion. There are obviously more comfortable bikes out there but I never have any issues riding long distances.
I have been told that the inverteds make a big difference on the Rocker; I will be able to let you know starting tuesday.
Well man, I think i've settled on just going ahead for the inverted. The look has really grew on me. I want to order them now since I'm impatient but you wont get your damn bike together so you can tell me if they make a ride difference. Haha.
ok...you guys are killin' me...just when i say sheew, i think i'm finished it's with the Danny Gray seat...and fender cut outs...now i'm thinkin hmmm...inverted forks...lol
...and Jim i have spent hours and hours on my Rocker, i have no complaints, but i havent been spoiled riding cumfy touring bikes so honestly i just may not know the difference...and you know what they say ignorance is bliss
5 or 6 hours riding on my Rocker is pure joy for me
Nothing makes the Rocker look more like a chopper and better (IMO) than the inverteds.
A quick note for you guys:
The tank has to be moved back about 1/2" and new fork stops will be needed to be welded up so you don't bang the tank. TOTALLY worth it!

Ehhhhh....guess I'll have to cross that bridge when I come to it. I like to do my own work but havent look at what it'd take to move the tank back. Sure it wouldnt be too hard but....guess we shall see.
Oh and maybe u havent gotten it cause I mad jacked that beotch!
