Went out & ran a 200 mile ride with my local HOG buddies earlier today to make the most of the UK's fantastic sunshine this week & got back with my head pounding from those ruddy exhausts of mine.
I've got a pair of Samson fishtail shotguns, but there's nigh on zero baffling or sound absorption & it's really anti-social in this day & age. Horse riders panic at half mile distance & cars wind their windows up when I overtake them.
So..
My wish list is for either a single or twin exhaust system, with fishtail ends maybe sweeping up as I've no pillion on the Bones. I'd be really pleased with a low sound akin to the newer Screaming Eagle mufflers, but I've browsed & browsed and none stand out.
Tom from http://harleygoodies.com/ here. If you want it a bit quieter but like the fishtail look, get some vance and hines tre duals with fishtails. I used to fun the Samson's without baffles too, and I guess I have become a little more politically correct. There is a new sponsor on the site called dr vtwin who has pretty decent prices on them.
