Trying to install a PC V on my wife's 07 Deluxe and everything went smooth except the instructions call for "sliding the security module tot eh right side of the bike". The problem is the security module is on the left side and only has a 2-3" lead to the positive post on the battery. No way in hell it will go to teh right side and the left side is too tight with the seat placement. Anybody ran into this and came up with a good solution?
I looked at it again this morning and the only solution I see is to lengthen the hot lead to the battery from the module. This is the only way the module will get to teh right side of the bike as shown in the install directions. I would call Fuelmoto as well and see if they have any thoughts but they are closed until Monday.
Ok, problem solved. I ended up cutting the lead and extending it 10" or so. This allowed me to rout it around the battery and place it over on the right side as shown in the install directions. According to my wife, the bike has some serious power now.
It was the lead to teh fuse for the security module I cut, not any wires on the PC V. Sorry, I didn't make that clear. As for the security module, the bike is no longer under warranty so I'm not sweating the modification.
