Security questions
No, first you must "marry" the security module to your computer before the bike will crank. I took my module to the dealership and had them install the module (10 minute job), marry it to the computer, and program the fobs. They charged me around $75 total.
It's a PITA going through the steps marrying the module to the bike. Several timed steps and approx. 45 minutes. You can't leave the bike the whole time because when one step finishes, you only have a few seconds to start the next step. The dealership just hooks the bike up on their machine and it handles the whole process for them.

UPDATE: After 2 to 2 1/2 hrs. I finally got it initialized. You need to follow the directions and timing exactly. That was my first problem. Good news is that it only cost me $7.50 at the dealership to have the fobs married to the bike so my total invest in the security was $257.50!

I got the security system first and then the siren...for whatever it's worth. But I let the dealership deal with installing it and all that other crap. I'd just screw it up if I did it.
