Good oil is a help,but if you really want to shut it up? get some upper cylinder lubricant. Lucas makes a good product as well as Klotz. you mix a couple oz. in your fuel with each fill up.
I'll add those noises are normal for a hd motor.
Also most aren't using thick enough oil, check your owners manual and pay attention to oil viscosity vs. ambient riding temp. recommendations.
What is the lucas product called? I have sort of gotten used to the noise the motor makes, but if I could quiet it down, I would be happier.
either of the above. I like the klotz as it claims to help stabilize the oxygenated fuels,helps in storage(preservative),and can boost octane a point or two. My bike seems to like it.
