Mean City Cycles just modified my Deluxe stock seat and it's incredible.
I had that done already at $174 and made the seat worse than before.

I think your missing something..The bare bones is a seat pan covered in leather...I have one..It's not comfortable.
Many issues to consider about seat comfort. Handlebar placement and foot placement are key elements to so called seat comfort.
Is that bare bones with the gel insert?
The handlebars and floorboards are great as they are. It's definitely the seat that causes the pain.
So, I will consider paying the extra $$ for a Corbin. Although, the LePera had other models, like the Silhouette Deluxe Solo, which looks very nice. Would the bare bones with the gel insert really be that bad? The corbin seat I liked was the Classic Solo, but is that any better for comfort? I don't like the mustang seats to look at, but perhaps they win in overall comfort.
Thanks for your input. I will keep checking for more comments.
I have the bare bones without the gel....but, the bones with the gel only adds a little more comfort....It certainly isn't designed for the long haul.....
I have this set up on my bar hopper..I didn't put the bike together for long rides....I have a bike for that..But the stock seat is fine for me.
Just ordered a Mustang Tripper Solo this morning.
I’ve had Mustang seats on other bikes and found them more comfortable than most stock seats.
Great quality and service works for me.
Last year I bought an ULTIMATE SEAT. I believe the company is out of Canada. Great seat though not cheap. Got the works. Rider seat, rider backrest and passenger pillon for my Heritage. You can go solo or with the pillon. My wife is pretty fussy when it comes to comfort and she is much happier now. I also noticed a big improvement over the stock rider seat which wasn't too bad to begin with. The guy that did my motor and his helper both said that it was the most comfortable softail they had ever ridden and they have been on a lot of different bikes at his shop.
Thats F*k*ng HILARIOUS!!! You stock seat is uncomfortable and you want a barebones LePera....well good luck...i actually think the stocker is comfy. Try this seat http://www.la-z-boy.com you never know what you can do to a HD

I have an 2007 Heritage Classic and my stock seat is comfortable. The passenger stock seat sucks. If I am going on long rides I just pack my gel cushion and my sheep skin and away I go.
The hubbys Dyna Wide Glide we put a Mustang seat. We did a little survey of our own and found that most people prefer the Mustang. The Corbin seat is a little harder and you have to break it in.
+++111 on above.
Actually I really like my stock Heritage seat, have ridden 3-4 at a time and its around 3hrs that I get a little discomfort..
On the 07 the stock rear pillion was a F-ing joke, wife lasted about 1/2 and then couldn't ride for a day.
But around $250 and the HD Touring pillion and back rest cured that..the Pillion is almost 4" wider and has 1' more padding over the rear fender, also the back rest it 3+ wider.taller, and curves so her back into not like the stock backrest which is flat across it. She now goes 2 hrs without a break easy now...
Plus I took the stock pillion and cut it down and had it recovered to match the bags, for solo riding and more back support for me, its great
