Mustang Vintage Wide Solois comfy. Also as suggested check out C&C. Floorboard extensions, highway pegs, bars the whole deal plays a large deal in comfort, not just the seat as previously stated.
I really appreciate the help. I decided on a mustang Vintage Solo seat. It has to be an improvement from the stock seat, as nothing could be more uncomfortable. I will let you all know after I get it and ride for an hour.
I had that done already at $174 and made the seat worse than before.
Is that bare bones with the gel insert?
The handlebars and floorboards are great as they are. It's definitely the seat that causes the pain.
So, I will consider paying the extra $$ for a Corbin. Although, the LePera had other models, like the Silhouette Deluxe Solo, which looks very nice. Would the bare bones with the gel insert really be that bad? The corbin seat I liked was the Classic Solo, but is that any better for comfort? I don't like the mustang seats to look at, but perhaps they win in overall comfort.
Thanks for your input. I will keep checking for more comments.
I have the BareBones Gel and I can roll over a dime and tell whether it is heads or tails. It's a nice seat for short trips of less than an hour IMHO.
I've had my new Mustang seat for about a week now. I can't say how much I love this seat. It is SO comfortable!! I've done a few long rides, non stop for about 2 hours at a time. No more numb butt. What a relief!! The only thing is it set me back about 2" from where I was used to riding, but I've already adjusted to it, pretty much. 2 thumbs up!!

I don't have a camera handy, so here is a pic of the Mustang I bought. It's simple, but most effective. It does look nice on the bike, although the stock seat did look a bit nicer with the chrome bar. The pain that stock seat caused me is beyond ever wanting that seat on my bike ever again.
like others have said LePera is nice but stay away from the barebones if you are putting any kind of mileage on your bike. I too could not deal with the deluxe seat and went with a LePera royal plush.... LOVE IT and so does the DW!
