hey guys I got a 09 heritage and I bought some floorboards from custom chrome that mount to the stock clevis and they look great, the only problem is that on the exhaust side they hit the exhaust just a liitle so I need a longer female peg mount or some kind of ext. Ive looked all over and cant find anything so please help, I really like theses floor boards but I dont want to mess up my pipes.
Harley sales an extension. I did not like it, so I went to ace and picked up a few chrome spacer. I then went to Lowe's and got a longer bolt, grade 8, with the allen head on it.
It extended my pegs out about 2 inches.

I like this idea alot but Im not sure what u mean by chrome spacers at a hardware store? What are they normally used for? Do you have a pic?
Thanks
Frosty
get some washers that are the same diameter as the peg mount. paint them black and add as many as you like. of course your gonna need a longer bolt, but then dont we all.
ACE hardware has a chrome bolt display. they sale a variety of chrome bolts. Other hardware stores also sale them. They are just normal chrome spacers. good part is they are the same size as the peg mount. I also wanted to add I am going to replace the chrome bolt for the peg to a type with a C-clip. I had to remove the rear exhaust to install the bolt. With other C type I would not of had to.
