Need Help Installing Clutch Cable!!
Near the downtubes on the frame, these is a turnbuckle that needs to be loosened. You better get a manual, there is a procedure for seating the ramps in the transmission.
I lossened the runbucke but there is still some tension at the tranny. It seems to be attached and cannot dislodge. I will get a manual. One last question. Do I need to remove the plate where the clutch cable comes in?
Thanks,

you need to loosen turnbuckle to have slack enough to play with.then you need to remove tranny cover, drain fluid then you will see how it is in place.your best bet is getting the manual
cause there is a correct way of putting together. It is not to hard but you need there instructions
the best $50 i ever spent.did you extend your wiring harness yet?if your going 12" or higher
you need to do also.good luck.

93HD is right about the manual. You will need to pull the end off the tranny. The inner cable is hooked to the ramp assembly, and the outer is threaded into the case.
Thanks. I did get the harnes. I'm installing 16" apes. OK I should be alright. I called all the dealers around the LA area, but nobody has a service manual.
you may want to consider having a tech do the clutch cable. I had a very difficult time
doing the adjustments on mine to get it to work right. Not that you don't know what you're doing , but it sounds like
this may be a first for you and down time on a scoot aint no fun.

Well, I finally got it all done. I had to remove the tranny cover/plate to unhook the clutch cable. That was a piece of cake compared to all the soldering I had to do to get all the wiring done. Now I know why shops charge so much to do this type of work. Thanks to all for your advice. I'll post some pictures to see what you think..
