I dont know seems like the perfect place to sell fuggin wigs & dresses
Don't know about the dresses, but you may have something with the fuggin wigs. My hair is turning loose, so maybe I could use a wig. I wonder if they will stay on with an 80 mph headwind without a skid lid?
Thanks for all the replies. I was hoping that when the 2010 models came out there would be a Rocker with the "Heartland" fender kit already installed by Willie G. But those other options are still on the table. Good to hear from you!
I had a similar problem when I bought my Custom last year. That bike just does it for me in every way. i bought the absolute perfect HD for me the first time out of the chute.
I absolutely HATED that rear solid aluminum wheel. surface scratches are a fact of life. You can't get them to shine no matter what you do, and I am not a fan of the "old school" laced front wheel either.
My dealer was having a 20% off sale on HD wheels last fall. i bought the Reaper wheels and have never looked back. wow, what those wheels do for a Custom! Let me know if you want to see pix of them.
I rented a Rocker for two weeks while in Maui on vacation this past February, and put 1000 miles on it. a really, really fun bike, and I am going to rent one again there in January, but I could not live with it every day. I just can't do a long ride on that bike. every 45 minutes I have to get off the thing. Plus the rake of the front end and 240 rear tire compromises handling compared to the Custom-in my experience.
What I have noticed about Harley is they don't go too radical with their styling on any bike, in order to appeal to a wide audience. their styling makes a statement-a certain look for each bike, thus allowing the owner to take that to any extreme they like.
I'm not a fan of the Rocker, but the ones that have this kit have won me over. There's a few on here and that fender/seat combo completely change what's wrong with the Rocker.
+2 on the kit. i saw a seat kit that was so cool for the two up. it had a read pinion seat as wide as the stock driver seat and a larger driver seat. i think it was around $2200 but if it makes you happy then go for it

It's extremely unlikely you'll ever see any model come from H-D with an aftermarket maker's modification pre-installed, such as the Heartland kit. If it's not H-D branded, they won't be putting it on a bike.

I know you think you heard what I thought I said, but I'm not sure what I said is what I meant.............er, something like that.
But seriuosly, when I said I wanted a Rocker with the kit already installed from the factory, what I am really trying to say is "I wish Harley-Davidson would offer a Rocker in that style, with that seat/fender, so that I wouldn't have to modify it after I purchased it (and have to pay the additional $$$$).
But getting a Custom and changing the wheels and seat may get me more of what I had in mind. And, as at least one of you said, the dealer may work with me to credit the new parts I would be taking off.
I took the factory tour in Kansas City two weeks ago. They had a big part of the tour closed to gear up to produce the 2010 models. Sometime around July 27th is when the full tour will be offered again. I'm looking forward to seeing what changes will be coming out.
I appreciate all the reviews, suggestions, and advice. Keep throwing them at me; maybe something will stick.

Damn...You shoulda rushed the door to that area camera in hand.
Coulda sold yer' spy shots for more than enough to buy a Rocker with a heartland and enough left over for a new vette.....
I would venture to guess we may see some minor changes to the softail chassis this year. They changed the touring bikes chassis last year so there may be some tweaks for the venerable softass this go round....
