Can anybody help me , I have a problem with getting the snaps to line up and snap on each end of the bags. I guess I have left then unsnapped too long and now they don`t line up. Is there a way to get them back . I have tried that brace you put inside the bag but it doesn`t help .......
You might try getting the lids fairly damp using a leather conditioner like Lexol, and stretching them until they will snap again. Might take several applications and trys.
After you get them back right get a set of "Got Saggy Bags" inserts and put them in. The inserts will renew the shape of the bags and keep them from getting out of shape again. This should help with your snap problem. Also, once you get them back in shape be sure and keep them well conditioned. Leather will srink when it gets wet or real dried out.
The gotsaggybags inserts work pretty well. I always keep mine fully snapped in to avoid the situation you have. Leather should stretch. Follow Bill's advice and let us know how it turns out. And keep 'em snapped up.
