Exile Cycles also has a Jockey Shift kit and foot clutch. Not sure if it's been priced yet. And they have a centrifugal clutch kit to make life much easier at stops and starts. Pretty trick....expensive...but trick. Paul in sales there is quick to respond and helpful and honest with his answers. I was buying other goodies but noticed these on their website and pdf catalog.
If your looking for a Jockey... you will get a shifter that attaches to the shifter lever..
a pedal, bracket and a new clutch cable...
easy installation...
If you have any specific questions... let me know...
ok i was at the la shifter site and it said 07-later softail with floorboards kit, do i want the straight, offset, threaded handle or regular handle? i really want a tank shift not a true suicide, guys that did this, what do you recommend?
so you know my bike is stock around the trans besides the v&h shortshots
.... the clutch is the "suicide".... the shifter can be a jockey or tank....
as far as what one to go with... it depends on what "look" your going for..
I wanted a little "hot rod" look so I went with an extended tank shifter
as far as ordering... if your going to get the LA... just tell Rick what bike you have and what you want and he'll set you up with the right stuff...
I have both a police shifter mounted by the tank and the jockey lever that came with the LaBriola kit. Each has their own linkage and dedicated hardware so I can quickly swap shifters; I usually swap them once a month just for the heck of it. Here are two pics of the bike; the first is with the police shifter and the other has the LAJockey lever. For long solo rides I prefer the behind-the-leg lever, for riding 2-up I like the police shifter.
