Need help. About time for a new rear tire on my 2008 Heritage.
I guess oem tire again.
tire is 150/80, right ?
Anyone know who might have the best prices ?
On the dunlop site they show many types listed in this size too. Which one in OEM ?
Sorry for the confusion. But i am confused.
I have a local indy that will mount it pretty cheap .
Tia .
I got a OEM tire for my 07 softail heritage and with the rim band, some weights, and the Metzeler tube I think it was about $142 to the house and they shipped the tire in a box!
Just put HD lops on this week, Ordered them last Thur From Dennis Kirk and got them this Mon. Same as OEM's
Rear 401(150/80/16: $110),
Front 402(MT90B/16: $93), plus $5 per tire because new shipping rules..Indy installed them on Tues..
so $213 tires, rode bike in and Indy did all the work for $128. total $341
Looked today again and they have went up a little, as they say prices changes daily..
I have been running Avon Venom X's on my bike after the OEM's wore out. But the price on thee Avon's for some reason have gone sky high. As mentioned above, http://www.americanmototire.com/catalog/ and also http://www.motorcycleproshop.com/det...t_id=DS-190065 have good prices on tires. I have never used motorcycle pro shop before, but American Motorcycle Tire has decent prices and the tires are within a couple of months old, meaning they haven't been sitting in the warehouse for a few years.
Dennis Kirk here as well... 06 Heritage Classic.
You folks are lucky to have Indy, cause in Ks I have to install my own! First time doing a spoke wheel with tube, no big deal just a little time consuming..

Isn't there a mototcycle shop of any kind close to U.??
We have a Honda-Kaz-Yam,Suk dealer and 1 Harley olny Indy here in town. 20 miles next town over another Harley Indy.
Then one Harley dealer 25miles, and three more Harley dealers between 55-70 miles.
The Jap bike dealer will M&B a tire on any wheel rolled in for $22 @ but will not remove them form Harley.
The three Harley dealers are $40@ if wheel is rolled in and $180 if U ride her in & they do all the work.
Both Indy's are $25 to M&B wheels rolled in and $120 if they do all the work.
So here even the Jap shop will M&B a tire on a Harley wheel.
