i made the lollipops n they work great on my rush 2 inch.my nightster is running alot smother now n there is a lowend increase for sure. no popping on decel. thanx for the info sosh.
I removed my baffles from my rush pipes...I did have 2" ones in but I wanted the sound. So I put the lollipops in and it helped a little with the back pressure. Then I decided to take off the slip-ons, drill a hole in the bottom of my header pipes and I moved the lollipops up there. Vast improvement on the decel pop and that is all that I was really lookin for until I can afford to move straight up to a stage 3 and get it done completely once and for all.
I have V&H Big-Shot Staggered (with cross-over) and forcing cones (and no baffles) at the pipe-head junction on a carbed 95 ci, 10:1 comp, Andrews 55 cams, SE air-kit. Sounds deep, low and good...no popping, crackling, raspiness, etc. I've had non-bikers tell me it's one of the best sounding HDs they've heard. Buddy of mine had the same set-up on a Duece (95 ci with 257 cam). Both bikes sound the same and run well.
It gets loud with higher RPMs ...but again the pipe report is deep and pleasant...almost a horn-like quality to the sound.
I keep the R's (and noise) low in the boros and neighborhoods...road noise is a political issue....the legislature wont bother with noisy trucks, they'll go after bikes...we don't want to end up like the Europeans with the inspection badge affixed to your stock pipes...no mods allowed...big fines if you do so I hear...
