I am looking for a solo seat for my bike. It seems there are not alot of options out there because of the 200 tire. I saw a nice corbin one but it was 350$ Any other good solo seats out there ?????
Thanks alot.
I have a LePera Silhouette on mine. It's an 02' but I put a 180 tire on it so I have a 9" fender and it fits great.I paid $125 for it from Jireh Cycles.I know J&P carry it also. It's not the most comfortable thing on earth but it looks good.Another place is Mammoth Choppers They have them (solos) with some cool pinstripe or flame stitching and I think they're around $150 or so.
I wish I could recommend the HD Brawler.
I love the seat, and I think it's the best looking solo available for the 200mm. It flows perfect with the lines of the bike.
I'm on my second seat, and there seems to be a problem with the seam at the bottom of the seat because it seperates a little. Hopefully, HD has this problem fixed, because I'm going to request a third. I really like the comfort and look, so I'll stick with it until it's fixed.
I would stay away from Corbin because they use a stupid pin mount, which means you can't swap back and forth between seats without installing/removing their silly mount..
SoCal. I had a 99 Train and bought a Hollywood Solo by Corbin for it. It is pretty much the only seat I ever road with. The gel seat on Corbins is like no other. I got rid of the Train and just bought a EG Standard and have another Corbin on it. They are expensive but well worth the money. I swear by them. I can ride all day long with no problems and the seat is not even broken in yet...

Good luck...and you get what you pay for...
Just so you don't get me wrong here. I think the Corbin is a first rate seat.
It's the mount they use on the 200mm Softail that has an issue with me. If they would have just stuck with the HD mount that everybody else uses, instead of trying to get cute and eliminating the rear screw, they would have had another customer.
Another vote for Lapera.. Just put 750 miles on my silhouette solo last week to Myrtle Beach all around and back and no problem.. Mine is a gel version which I believe helped a lot.
Hey Babs, not all of my comfort problems are the seat.My bike is lowered, and also has a low profile tire on the back.I love the look, but I can feel a dime if I run it over.
