Hi guys I know solo seats have been beaten to death here so i appoligize in advance. I`m looking for a solo seat for my Softail Custom that will still be comfortable to do 300 mile days or more. The seats that I am looking at is the Lepera with the gel or the HD solo seat. It gets confusing because there are so many other solo seats fro HD, Corbin, etc, andthen a bunch of other smaller seat makers.
I know that most solo seats and comfort shouldn`t be used in the same sentence, but i`m going to buy one this week so I wanted to know what everyone else thinks is the most comfortable for longer rides.
My Corbin is good for all day easy ... The Le para with Gel was good for 1 hr... Mustang Vintage Solo is also a good choice justDidn't look that good on my Train..
As Serge627 said, Danny Gray seats are nice. I just got a DG solo a few months ago and it beats the stock Badlander hands down. Like you said, if it looks good, it won't be "comfortable" but I think it is a good looking seat and I can ride 300 miles in one day with no problems (with stops every now and then of course). I wouldn't want to ride 300 miles with no stops anyway- stop and BS, have a beer, etc- more fun imo.
No experience with the Mustang seats. I agree with Corbin or Danny Gray. I have a Corbin on my RK, and a Danny Gray on my Night Train. Just got the Danny Gray seat from Dennis Kirk's Outlet to replace a Le Pera. Here is the link, http://www.denniskirk.com/jsp/tpl/cm...equestid=21898
