i love the look of springers but have been told by some they hate the way they handle. for those who have rode them whats your thoughts? do they handle that different? i have never rode a springer so i have no idea.
my thoughts also. thats what i told a few that has said they ride bad, my personal thoughts even though i havent rode one is why do they still make them if they handle badly. got a 04 fatboy but when truck pays off im gona check some springers out, i think they look killer.
Mine handles fine cept at very low speed like in a parking lot. I thought it handled good until I rode a SG. The glide had better low speed handling but didn't give as smooth a ride as my springer going down the road. Plus the springs are fun to watch if you are on a boring road.
FWIW I Don't have a ton of experience but I rode my buddy's 03 FXSTS for an afternoon and I thought it handled just as well as the wide glide setup on my Night Train. I guess I was expecting it to be sloppy for some reason but it was rock solid and soaked up everything.
I feel like my Springer sticks in the corners better than a convential fork bike. You feel the road a little more but I like it. The great thing is when you show up with a big group of bikes..........Springers always stand out in the crowd.
Excellent. I always heard they were heavy up front and learned those people didn't know what they were talking about.
Mine is perfect. Soaks up the road very well, turns in great, feels no different than any other well handling bike.
