Floorboards on an FX?
Haha, I don't think so..
The same comfort level can be had with heel supports. They look better and nobody will question your gene pool.

I have Kuryakyn ISO stirrups on my NT and they feel like floorboards.
My boots no longer want to fly off the pegs a high speeds.
Never leave home without them.

Nice ride...but you need to check out the Night Train thread in the Softail forum here...there's Night Trains in there that give new definition to sleek...most of those guys are pretty down to earth tho, don't recall them claiming theirs is better than anyone else's...personally, I respect a man's talent more when it's tempered with a little humility...

I hate to bust your bubble but your bike doesn't come close to some of the guys night trains on here. I know that mine is not the best but you cannot claim to be the 'sleek' one when there are people like TX running around on a bike that is straight bad ***. I can't forget people like chaz, lundee. To many to cover. There bikes have soul and character. The bike you have has a chit load of motor that you can't even use. You must be a light to light guy. You can go fast but you can't look as cool as some of the other trains on here. By the way, give yourself a pat on the back for building that bike. Good job.

Floor boards are a no go..... Heel rests are easy and effective on long hauls. They have helped me out.

Haha, I have seen the Night Train thread, pretty much all the bikes are bolt-on affairs. While I respect each and every man's ride on here, I have still yet to see one with much true custom work done, especially on the little details. Again the pics I posted don't do my ride justice.

Take the frame for example: I took the frame down bare, ground off, filled in and blended all the gussets and welds. The frame is now buttery smooth like the sheet metal. All the wiring now also runs inside the frame tubes, no wires show. These are little details you can see in person but not in the pics. The rear swingarm is also being converted to a flush mounted setup as well over this weekend.

As for the bikes performance. Again the primary was regeared to 3.48. Allows me to keep the rubber firmly planted on the pavement(although I can spin the tires in all 6 gears if I really wanted to )and makes the engines power 100% useable(and I still get 50mpg)

The 130mm front rubber and 180mm rear rubber are both radial tires(not bias ply) and keeps the handling and traction very well balanced. The rear of the bike features a modified Heartlander fender(recut, formed and radiused) and strut setup to blend and form correctly to the tire and rim from both the side and rear angles(nobody has done this on this forum that I can see). The rims are basic polished aluminum solid discs, 18x3.5 up front, 18x5.5 out back. Keeps for a nice balanced look once again.

I have seen alot of people go with a big fat 250mm or larger rear tire, but it hurts looks and functionality to me. 250's etc belong on a dragstrip, not the street. The wide tire fad is nothing but that from my own eyes. Functionality and performance with me is first priority.

The gas tank was stretched and blended into the seat along with being "debadged" and now has a total capacity of almost 8 gallons.

The motor as stated is a 114" TC. Some of the goodies include a custom one-off cam grind spec'd out by myself and ground by Cycle-rama. Gear drive conversion, custom length aluminum pushrods, roller rockers, feuling cam support plate and oil pump, forged Woods rocker support arms, custom Wiseco pistons, Dhorse forged connecting rods, custom windage tray, oil tank has also been modded and holds an extra 1.5 quarts of oil, oil cooler, oil temp and pressure guages, custom compensator locking lock nut, etc etc etc.

She is all go, but when you look at her up close its apparent that there is alot more to my bike than just a big hp engine. She has a detachable windshield, 2up folding rear bitch seat that also doubles as a back rest, with a custom tour pack and custom saddle bags. She can convert from a solo rat bike to a good functional 2up moderate duty touring bike in about 5 minutes. And it still retains all its DOT lighting, factory alarm, guages etc. without hampering the look of the bike.

Anyway, people can gauge opinion on my bike as they will, but to me, I have yet to see the work and effort put into a stock HD Night Train as I have on mine. DOesnt take away from anyone else's ride, its just how I see it. Trust me, where every I go my bike pulls a BIG crowd. And the more people look at it up close, the more they realise just how extensive the work on it has gone.
