I think that it would look pretty cool personally. But then I love my floorboards...they just need to move forward a bit.

Okay, I know this doesn't go with the thread title, but I really want to put a black fatboy front end on my 05 Train, but I don't want to pay a ****-ton of money to do so. I keep seeing these powdercoated skins and fork sliders on ebay and have been told that they can be put on my forks, but don't see where they could be bolted to, other than the one big bolt on the side of the top of my forks. Have any of you guys heard of this being done? Have any of you done it? Do any of you know a link with pics of the process?

THANK YOU!!!!

Just go on Ebay and look for a take off fatboy front end and go from there. That would be a cheap way to go. People are always changing there stuff and selling it on ebay.

Already did that brother. Nada. I found one, but it was over a grand, and it was for the 84-99, but mine's an 05. I found this kit that has the tins and the fork sliders for $139.00, so you can see my hesitation in paying a lot of money, when it can be done for under $200. Here's the link:

I have an 06 Standard, and I'm another one who thinks that boards on a FX model would be wrong, But I have thought how it would be nice to have some sort of mid-pegs above the primary...somewhere in that region. that you could easily flip down and put your feet up there for a while. If anybody has thought of this or have done it...post up some pics.

I should have some pics of my new set up this weekend. I just mounted up a set of Dyna mid controls to my softail. Mounted slightly higher (frisco style) but still super comfortable. I'm short legged and have never liked forward controls. Although floorboards are a happy medium. I'm still workin the details on my m/c before buttoning it up. I'll make sure to post pics.
