I would not want to take my floor boards off or modify them in any way.

What do you guys think???
Ok, so keepin the FL front forks gives you room IMO. Basically a FatBoy with a duck bill is probably doable. My suggestion would be to get a fuller but chopped front fender, much like our modest GunmetalBlueNT is sporting, lower the rear so it doen't look like your rinding a dirt bike. You'll probably need to stay with a 'fuller' bar, if the bar is too small its going to look odd on top of the FL forks. You would probably want to take some of the 'stuff' off your forks too, just sit a headlight up there. Black fork bag would make it look not so lonely.

I think you could pull it off if it were well thought out. Don't just start putting on NT parts though or parts that look great on NT's. You've still got to work from the Fatboy angle, not as sleek and paired down of a look.

No problem with the rear end, as I have an air ride installed. I can slam her to the ground!

And for the front end....well a 250 Ford tore it off for me. So there is nothing to remove.

Ah, yes now I can put 2 + 2 together. I read some of your other posts. So are you putting an FX front fork on it then? In that case it wouldn't be much to really turn it into a Train for real. IMO if your doing the front end up anyway I would still take a different angle on it then your standard NT front end. Something that was 'NT inspired' would be a lot kooler and stand out in a crowd.

Sorry to hear about your bike. But I think boards would look good on a NT. However I think it'll take the right stance to pull it off on the long slender FX front end. Your bagged so you've got the rear taken care of. The front I would bring down at least 4" with a 21"and fenderless would be cool. Just my humble opinion.

I will have the same 21 incher that I have now...DNA Mammoth. I have a 2 inch lowering kit that I can take out of my original set up and use.

As for the rear...looks like I am going to be getting a new compressor for the air ride too. Not working at all!

Im thinking of putting floor boards on my FXST, since I damaged my achillies I have trouble keeping my foot on the peg, I would have tried the stirrups but but I cant flex my heal. Any pic would be grear of a NT / FXSTC or FXST with floor boards on

Try mini floor boards if anything,,,,, Stirrups to me are like floor boards. I ride my brothers Fat Boy and I feel like I can not stretch out like forward controls. I have seen mini ones on Ebay.

Same here, I'm uncomfortable on boards.
