Default 2006 FXSTI price question

I am looking at a 2006 Softail Standard w/ 3,700 miles. Here is the list of goodies:

V/H Big Rad
Stage 1
HD SERT

The following are all matching:
HD Handgrips
HD Footpegs for driver and passenger
HD brake lever
HD Shifter lever

Everything else is stock:
I have checked KBB and NADA, but just wanted to get some input from real experienced folks that have dealt with the HD Dealers and will many of them negotiate $$$ on pre-owned bikes?

Thanks in advance.

Everything is negotiable Bro.

I would see what 06' FXSTI's are selling for in venues other than that local dealer.

So my research would be...How much can I buy one on E-Bay or Craigslist for?

Or even right here in the classifieds?

Sheese we have a member with a badass 07' Night Train with a built motor and loads of trick parts who would probably do 14-15 grand on it...Guy probably has at least 25 grand spent on the bike and it dosent even have 2,000 miles. If the FXSTI you are looking at is even close to that I would be balking.

Point is that you can ship a bike anywhere in the lower 48 for $500-$750. Why let your demographics dictate what you pay? Folks are literally giving Harleys away righ now.

Heres what the last round of 2006 FXST's listed for and did on E-Bay. Not much activity there. http://motors.completed.shop.ebay.co...osacat=6024did

This is probably the best way to value the bike in these trying and uncertain economic times.

I would be taking a very close look at Hammer 107's Night Train if you can handle a badass black bike thats faster than fvck and essentially brand new for half of whats been spent on it. Cost you a whopping $500 or so bucks to get it shipped to your door. It needs nothing but a Man with a big set of ***** to twist the throttle and hang the fvck on. Its a certified Badass Mobile.

Here:http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...m=180386118216

And here:https://www.hdforums.com/forum/softa...more-time.html

Probably half the mugs up in this joint would be buying that Train iffins theres got wrecked or they didnt have one yet. Its that Badass Bro!

Thanks, I am trying to do my homework on these bikes. Do you think is would be wise to wait a few weeks or a month (maybe 2) until people start trading in for the 2010s?
OR
Do you think more dealers are trying to clear their floors to make space for the new bikes?

I dunno

Dont hold your breath awaiting a slew of fresh trade-Ins. Its a buyers market right now. Dont limit yourself to simply shopping your local dealer. Broaden your horizons. You can buy a Softail today as cheap as they have ever been. They may be cheaper yet this winter. But why wait til' its too cold to enjoy?

Shop all your prospective avenues.

E-Bay, Dealers, Craigslist.
