Black Fork Sliders for '09 Night Train

So...how do I get the sliders off the bike without ruining something? Dealer said I would have to drain fluid, remove, powder, re-fluid, etc. Sounds hard.

the closest i have found to match is rustoleum flat black. i have tried many others, but imho this is the best match.
