I personally think the apes are to wide, actually it is not the apes its the mid-glide front end they put on the rocker.....I never understood that? why they did not put a wideglide front end on it boggles me. that front end reminds me of the sportster front end....

I think they went with the mid glide due to the width of the tank and it riding so close to the neck... I put a wide glide on mine and i have maybe a 1/8 of an inch of gap between the tree and tank...I also had to remove the tank lift or it would hit the tank.... either way i think the wide and narrow apes look good...

Thats exactly what happened. My Apes are narrow in the middle and they just barely hit when turned fully. We took the tank lift off to see if we could modify it to work and while it was off I noticed that with it off it made the Apes look taller so I said F-it I'm leaving it that way. I knew I'd like them on the bike but after the job I realized I don't like them - I LOVE them. Changed to whole look of the bike and the ride is perfect for me. I'm 6 foot even and I think the 12.5's are just right. In Jersey the law is they can be as high as you want as long as your arms are straight and mine are. My buddy is 6'5 and he had 18's on his last bike and he was OK.

I also must give credit where credit is due. Wild 1 Incs customer service is very - very good. Every question was answered quickly and accuratly. I am so happy with the Apes on my Rocker I'm putting them on my Road King and I'll be using Wild 1 products again. Their quality is excellent and they earned my loyality with their service.
