Default 2010 fatty lowered?

I was just wondering if anyone knows how MoCo lowered the 2010 Fat Boy Lo. Did they use progressive shocks or the bolt kit? I know they also changed the seat but the A$$ end looks like it is about 1" lower than my 09. Also did they lower the front as well? Its hard to visually compare because of the different bars. Pretty cool Bike I love the new emblems.

I can tsay for sure but I would guess that they used the HD Low Profile Shocks ( same as on the Deluxe) and the fork kit. They are basicly the stock Softail shock with the factory installed lowering bolts (longer). You will be able to know for sure if you stop at the dealer and look up the replacement in the parts manual.

IMO the better way to do it is use aftermakket parts for your bike, Progressive 422 or air shocks on the back and Progressive Drop in Lowering Kit on the front

Guess I didn't know deluxe came with different shocks. How do those ride? I'm assuming 2 up riding you would bottom suspension out frequently.

I have the profile low shocks and like them. They only lower about 1", which is all I wanted. They are adjustable so you can adjust the preload in order to keep from bottoming out. I got mine from a forum member for $75, so it was a deal for me. If I were purchasing new, I'd go with progressive 422s.
