Default Rear fender change--08 Sftl Custom

It has been a year and I have not warmed up to 'duck butt" fender on my scoot. Looking at putting a chopper style fender with frenched LED tailite, different turn signals to clean up rear end. Has anyone done anything similar to this?

He has an FXST. I would just get the module to make the signals into brake lights and leave the brake light off altogether.

It hasn’t been easy for me either, however it’s starting to grow on me a little.
Still looking around myself.

Yep. I have a FXSTC. Looking at another seat with pad+ 400 bux, new LED taillite, 300 bux==700.00 and I still would not like that part of scoot. All intel points to a custom fender with lite for 1500-2000 bux. oh well---you gotta pay to play to be in the image scrimmage...

I went through a period of not liking mine, so I focused my attention elsewhere for a bit, got a lowering kit coming etc. The more I look at yalls, and back at mine, the more I like it. I love the fender now. twofish - what seat is that? Im about to pic up a Mustang Tripper, looks kinda similar.

Kinda, sorta like the poor attempt at Photoshop chopped fender.

Looks like new fender will be a winter project--I will not take any down time now here in AZ. Have turned attention elsewhere to new apes, controls. Used counsel from this site and went with Hill Country Customs set-up. Another year of changing parts and I will be able to put together another bike...

Kinda weird to watch old parts stack up huh? I occasionally open a closet where I stuff my stock parts and get a little sick to my stomach, then peek out in the garage and smile, cause it was all worth it. Ive been steadily selling parts on eBay. Still have my stock set of pipes with slip-on Rush mufflers 2.75, stock bars and derby cover, and a few other random nick knacks.
