Rocker front end, options, who has changed it out?
So I'm lookin at the front of my bike and its begging for a new front end... it just needs to be wider, fatter, meaner, lol
So who has changed theirs out ? I want to leave the rake & length as is. I have seen a set of trees that would bring the width out to 9 3/4 " from the standard 8 1/2 cheaper way to go than a whole new front end..
One option I was given (smooth top) with trees meant that the forks would actally sit a little (inch & a half) longer, but i really am mindfull that it doesnt look lile that AME disaster...
I was going to do the inverted set from HD. they are for other softails, but would work perfectly on the Rock. I researched them and was about to pull the trigger, but I am selling my bike. they are reasonably priced as well, about 1300, they include new trees as well.
part number 46321-05B for chrome 1199.95 or 48646-06A for gloss black 1299.95. you will need to buy a new axle $43, and probably a few other parts, like dust seals, etc... you would also need to put on an fx style fender. perfect time to upgrade to a 21" front
Hmmm... Word of caution with wide glide front ends... Tank fitment... I have 1/8 of an inch of space between the trees and tank when fully turned.. I also had to remove tank lift cause of that.. The front tire will also look uberly skinny between those forks... Once I have some cash that will be one of many upgrades to a 21 and a wider tire....

your absolutely correct....the front wheel will look silly at best back to the drawing board...
