Default Chrome Caliper Question

Ok...well installed chrome lower legs on the wife's Deluxe this weekend and now everything else looks horrible. I hate Harley.

So I have a pair of polished rotors on the way, I have the various caps and covers for the bolts etc.....I am left with the calipers. Are the chrome caliper clamshell style covers really cheezy in person or do they look good?

I despise cheez.....so tell me straight. If they can't pass for true chrome calipers then I'd rather just get the real deal.

Anyone have a comment?

Personally, I hate the idea of covers. The only covers I have or will use are for the axle and swing arm pivot bolt. Sooooo, not being rich and not having 500-600 bucks to blow I opted to just go with the old calipers and replaced all the caliper bolts with chrome bolts by Diamond Engineering. I dont think they look bad plus its a functional piece.

Dont forget the fender hardware and bolts to attach the rotors. I hope you already installed the chrome oil drain bolts and nuts that hold the axle on, the 2 little on the bottom of the left fork. Cant remember their name.

I must of made 5 trips to the store for parts.

Chrome calipers are the way to go, in my opinion. But, then again, I AM a chrome *****.

I did all of the same things and really dislike the black calipers. I put in the chrome bolt kit and insert, it helped a little.
What ever you do, do not buy the HD bolt kit for the caliper, it does not come with the mounting bolts.
buy the Gardner-Westcott kit it has all of the bolts except the banjo bolt, and it is 10 dollars cheaper.
I saw a yellow fatboy with yellow powder coated calipers and rear master cylinder. it looked awesome, I may go that route since my fatty is blue, blue calipers. It may be an option unless your wife's bike is black(what's the odds a black Harley?).
I would not do the covers, they look cheap.
