I have a 2006 Heritage Softail. I'm trying to install the 75087-04 LED Fuel Gauge.
All the connections have been made, and are tight. The gray wire has been routed to PIN 9 in the speedometer housing. The low fuel light within the speedometer still illuminates. Am I missing something with the installation?
Had a LED one on my RKC and it worked great for 3 years until I sold the bike. No problems and was pretty accurate. I did not install it tho, the dealer did.
Dont know if this helps but on my 05 deuce i did not change the grey wire to speedo, everything works ok.the low fuel light comes on when it should on the speedo, but the led's dont chage color when low on the flush mount.
I have flush mounts and they do look cool, the fuel guage is just as good as the stock one, they are both off the same which tells me the float in the tank is messed up but not worth the effort to have repaired. I just use the tripmeter like the old days.
