Default lowering bolts on a deuce

Hi,
I am looking to lower the rear of my deuce. I don't want to pay the big money for the progressive shocks, etc. so have been looking into lowering bolts. Which kit is the best to go with. I would like to put a kit in that allows me to adjust it back up to stock height quickly for two up riding, etc. I think I read that the arlen ness kit does this. When you adjust them back to stock height do you get your stock ride back. I want to be able to lower it for solo riding and riding around town but raise it back up when the wife and I take long trips together with our travel bags, etc. Will the deuce backrest still work with the bike lowered. Will you bottom out on the bolts.
thanks

Lowering bolts is lowering bolts. I have the Ness ones...They are no different from brand X cept' some come with new rubber bushings.

Easy to crank the *** back up when needed easy to drop back down. The initial install is the hardest part. Once they are on you are golden.

What would your backrest have to do with anything?

the deuce backrest mounts through the fender with 3 studs and nuts on the bottom. I didn't know if you would rub on the bolts if you lowered it. I imagine the suspension doesn't allow you to drop down that far. How hard are they to install. Any special tools, etc. I realize the ride will be rougher with it dropped but if you raise it back up will the ride be good again. Do you have to take the bolts out to raise it back up. I want to be able to quickly raise it back up to standard height and ride at times. Thats why Im trying to figure out which kit is best for this. Thanks

The bolts are adjustable. Make them longer to lower it, shorter to raise it. You can crank them to go back to stock height & ride quality.

Only one way to find out!! If it rubs toss the backrest man...

Got a floor jack? You got a floor jack you can get the job done.

I realize the ride will be rougher with it dropped but if you raise it back up will the ride be good again. Do you have to take the bolts out to raise it back up.
Dont need to remove em' . Put bike back on yer' jack and readjust.

If you really want it to happen quickly drop $1500.00 on an Airride system.

If you dont need it to happen as quick and dont mind getting your hands dirty buy a set of Progressive adjustable shocks or any of the El Cheapo bolt kits. The bolts kits are in essence all the same some are chrome, some are black, some have extra bushings etc..etc...
