Default softail tire pressure question

I just picked up a 2005 softail deluxe but unfortunately do not have an owners manual. Can someone tell me the recommended tire pressure for this bike?
Thanks...Fred

Just got an '06 Deluxe myself too. Turned like crap until someone pointed out tire pressure. Both my tires were practically flat. Did a search and came up with 36 psi front and rear.

A lot of people run the pressure a bit higher. I tend to run about 40 and 40.

I do 36-38(2up)@book. book says 36-36 (solo); dealer puts in 40-40.

just keep it somewhere between there and what feels good to U.

i have a ?? about pressure also. remember the ford and Firestone tire problem on explores??
the manual gave a lesser air pressure than the tire ratting. and had all kinds of problems. so they said go by the markings on the tires? my 09 touring say`s in the book 36/40 and the tires say 41/42??

so do we go by the manual or the tire?

Go with what the tire says, especially if they are not the original equipment tires.

Be sure and keep correct tire pressure , if you dont , you will have premature tire wear, ask me how I know!, I had to replace back tire at 6000 miles, because of incorrect tire pressure.
