How much stuff do you take with you on your commute?

Heritage might be a good choice or if you don't carry much buy the Fatty and never look back

I love my Fatboy, but I would take a RK Custom in a second.

I'm obviously a fan of the Fat Boy. I'm 6'2" 300 lbs with a 34" inseam. The bike fits me perfect - maybe even a little low but feels good to me. I used to live up in Wolfsville, MD and traveled daily to work in Herndon, VA - about 70 miles one way rain, shine and snow. I've become so used to the bike that any other bike I sit on just feels strange to me. Almost like a toy.

For comfort, I added the Mustang seat. Sometimes I have throw over bags and/or T-Bags on the back. There's so much you can do to these bikes to make them perfect.

I can't compare the Fat Boy with the other bikes you mentioned. Never seriously rode one. But, if you decide on the Fat Boy I don't think you'll be disappointed.

Check out the new softail convertable. Has removable bags, windshield, & passenger seat. Take everything off and you have that fatboy look.

Have you sat on a Fatboy Lo? I own a FB, it fit's me great, I am 6'1" 195lbs. I sat on a FB Lo, it is WAY TO SMALL, my knees are half way up the tank. I would forget about that and get the old school Fatboy.

Like you, I have a 30" inseam and weigh in at 300 pounds.
I started out on a 1200 custom sportster and rode it for over 5000 miles, but it wasnt comfortable after 30 to 60 minutes of riding.
I traded for and electraglide classic because the sales guy kept telling me a heritage wasnt big enough.
I hated the ride of the electraglide, sitting on the bike where on a heritage or fat boy even you are riding in the bike.
I rode the e glide for 7000 miles and just traded for a 2010 heritage softail classic.
It rides better to me then the glide ever did, I can flatfoot it with no problems and just have more confidence riding it then both the other bikes.
Now the part about the heritage not being big enough? Its bigger feeling then the glide was, more room it seems.
And me and the wife have not bottomed it out yet and Ive rode some rough roads that the glide would!
We have put about 650 miles on it in 1 week of riding, and last night after riding for over an hour and a half, the wife didnt want to stop, thats a change right there, she tells me, and I quote, "I dont want to tell you this cause you will get a big head, but this bike rides better then the other one"
I had been telling her that all along and she didnt beleive me.
I wanted the heritage to begain with and kept going back to it, thats what I should have got first.
So, I say get a fat boy, its basicly a heritage, just no bags or shield and no spokes or ape hangers, but its what YOU want, so go for it and good luck!
