If you really want to soften it up the lighter oil would help just a little better yet would be to get in the fork itself and figure out how to modify the exsisting asssembly and get some of the preload off the stock springs to soften the thing up.....What would really be awesome would be to contact Race Tech and get a set of springs and gold valves to match your lighter than avg Harley guy weight!

Just installed HD heavy fork oil (15W). No problems, the streets are in good shape and I try to miss the bumps. Could be something in your front end oil can't fix. I ride a 1995 Evo Heritage. Good luck with smoothing things out..
