I changed the sliders to chrome ones on my softail and used regular h-d fork oil, I had problems with bottoming out also. i changed the oil to the Screaming Eagle heavy duty oil ,no more bottoming out. Try changing to heavy duty fork oil..Vic G.

thanks for info...good ideas.....have anyone ever tried BelRay 30W fork oil??? sounds like some heavy stuff.

I'm thinking yer right on about the oil....I'll try a heavier oil and see if that helps.....if not then it's all about the springs.

30WT is too heavy. You could roll over a quarter and tell if it was heads or tails!

20WT max IMO....
