Did someone say Springer??? FWIW, you can't go wrong with an OEM front end if you can find one in good condition. I've seen the Paughco replica in the catalog. I like the look and it's probably a lot cheaper, but I do not know how they ride. It would be something I would look into though.
When I get off my springer and ride the eg the eg feels funny like it does not want to corner. After I ride it for awhile it feels normal again.Seems like the springer sits a little higher in the front,it will lay down pretty far in a turn.
Love my springer. Kind of hard to find an OEM unit since they quit selling them in the parts catalog. OEM units are expensive if you can find one on E-bay but worth the extra money. I think they were about 2500.00 in the catalog.

I priced one back in March and was quoted close to $4000.00. I got a nice used one off eBay for $1700.00. Paughco, was of course my next choice. It never came to that.....And if the price had been to high, I had a complete Fatboy front end lined out for $1100.00. OEM or Paughco are the only ones I'd use.
Tx_outlaw has the American Suspension forks (Black Dragon) on his bike and my son has the same one on his Wide Glide. I will be putting the American Suspension forks (Dragon Slayer) on my bike this winter with the rear tube painted the same color as my Rocker C pacific blue pearl. There are several springers to choose from besides OEM HD's that are top quality.
The Harley ones are hard to beat. The STS model and the Heritage Springer both use a chrome Harley springer. The cross bones has a black springer which is better than no springer but chrome is much nicer, imho.
I'm the exact opposite, the first thing I do is take off as much chrome as I can, thus chrome forks are a definite no-go
