Geometry is important and is really deppendant on the installer not the springer manufacturer. Paughco makes a high quality springer with the OE springer look.
If looking for out of box looks, American suspension's Dragon springer is a high quality springer with hidden shocks and uses bearings in the rockers. http://www.bikebuildersbible.com/for...lackdragon.htm

Rollingthunder springers spec out very good but when I called them they said only for 36 deg or more frames if memory serves due to offset tree's only. My wideglide is at 34 deg and the trail calculated poorly. http://www.rollingthunderframes.com/springer.html

Of course there is http://www.jeris-springer.com/ who is well known for making a quality springer. They have you make a bunch of measurments and build to your bike.

http://www.redneckengineering.com/front_ends.htm is another I looked at but never contacted them on. They make a leaf springer also.

I run a American suspension Dragon and have over 6500 miles on it so far. Have done a 3k mile round trip and rode the Dragon in the smokies mountains. Is a great riding front end. It does bottom out if hit a quick bump at speed but for the most part does very well. Handles just fine too see pic below.

Last I asked this you haven't ridden it yet. How does your bike handle with those offset trees?

Handles beautifully! No issues with it whatsoever. It's nowhere near the harsh ride I had with my old springer I had about 25 years ago. The shocks are an excellent addition also.

Because the rockers see high shock loads and minimal rotation(pivoting), bushings offer more load bearing than bearings!

You serious? Geeze somebody stole that...Brand new thats a $2500 piece all day long maybe more if the economy wasnt in the chitter.

I still cant get over the odd lack of rake built into the OEM HD springer and I think I would want at least a -2 if not a full slammed -4 under stock if I did one...

I guessthe rake is an aquired taste or you only notice it if youre looking?

The Pauchgo dosent have that same rake. It sits essentially like a wide glide fork.....

$1600? I would have learned to live with the rake!

I think I got a pretty good deal on mine on Ebay. It was a complete OEM front end with 4000 miles on it. I got the springer, fender, tire, rim with caliper and disc, brake line and master cylinder along with the headlight and dog bone risers all for 2200.00. Looked like brand new.

Mine has bushings in it. Believe AS calls them "bearings" tho.
