Default Softail shock

I have a 09 Softail Custom that I put a Crossbones seat on it. The seat sets kind of high for me. I noticed that the Crossbones bike sets lower then my bike. Are the rear shocks made lower for the Crossbones, or is it just the setting on the shocks that I can change to make my bike lower.

Thanks

Get some shorter springs for your seat.
