i read that the fxs has the lowest 2-up seat height in the whole line-up.
how did they achieve this at the factory?
is it just a matter of shorter or longer than average shocks?
i dont have access to another softail to compare my fxs to....

Actually the FXS is not the lowest Softy, the FLS is, but as U say its the lowest of the 2 up seaters. 1/4" lower than a FBL, and 1/2 lower than a Lux.
Not sure but it may be just the bolt length and seat design/thickness that makes them lower.
