i think the dealer replaces those at the regular service checkups. if you dont have the $350 service and oil change the bulbs will go bad. Also dealer told me that if you dont wear Harley cloths that you will cause other issues like premature tire wear.

so he will replace them for 2 years, without finding the actually problem..then its your problem..to find the problem, lol..classic dealer.

My first thought was "what is a passing light?"

My second thought was, "someone took a bike to a DEALER for a BULB?"

My turn signal bulb burned out in less than fifty miles. Look closely at the Harley bulbs, they are all made in Hungary. ( Harley the american made motorcycle ?? )

I think I have heard it all...Harmonics, WHAT A CROCK! When they replaced the first one that went out, the SM told me that these bulbs wouldn't last nearly as long as the old sealed beams that were on the older bikes. Since my bike is now out of warranty, I have started buying me 881 bulbs off of ebay and these have lasted MUCH longer than the OEM bulbs. They also cost less.

I agree with Night Train, why would you take it to the dealer for a light bulb??

Well, the bike was 1 week old and the light quit. He lives less than 1/4 mile from the dealer so the choices is either take it and let them do it for free or buy a bulb (16 dollars if it comes from the dealer) and put it in ourselves. Free is the way I try to go. Why not?

And to the "passing light" terminology......should have been auxilary light. Don't know where "passing" came from when I was typing.
