Im in the process of wiring some LED turn signals and I'm using the HD Run/Brake/Turn Module but I cant seem to get the brake to work. Can anyone confirm if the HD module will only work with the regular filament bulbs and not LED's ? Will only the Badlands kit work with the LED's ?
I can't say whether the HD kit works w/ LEDs or not... I'm just researching this same mod for my bike right now. But I know that the Kuryakin wiring harness that does the same thing (stop/run/signal) will run LEDs.
im running the biker elctronics one and i had to cut n splice some wires together......................does your rear blinkers have 2 or 3 wires????.............
New turn signals have 3 wires. Orange/Red/Black. Ive been reading around, and other guys have had issues running the HD module with LED's..
Seems as if the Badlands Module is the fix to this issue as it has a load equalizer built in and works with the security modules.
you dont need a load eq if your jus running em in the rear...................but with e rear blinkers you have to put the 2 hot (orang n red) together on both the right goes to brown the left goes topurple the blacks go together and to the black the blue went to my plate light and red/yellow is nothing take it out ............i made a pigtail that ran under the fender with jus the stock plug coming out to plug into the stock plug or module...............hope that helps if ya have ?? lemme know
maybe the hd one is just for the stock plug thing thats behind the taillight...........i went with the biker electronics one from dennis kirk 60 bucks and works fine...........ya didnt blow a fuse or anything............sorry i couldnt help
