Anyone have any experience with putting these on a FXSTB/FXSTC or similar bike? I have found a bunch of websites but I'm not sure which one to order and what is involved in bolting one on...
Not much of an expert but keep in mind there is a difference in tanks for carb'd and EFI or at least a place to insert the fuel pump for EFI... Most will tell u if designed for EFI.. They give you demensions along with the tank channel width and mounting points, verify with the scoot to be mounted and go from there... If it bolts up a very simple swap..
Oh also keep in mind the distance from the trees to a new tank, some are wider and the trees could hit... Keep us posted...
I know some might have negative feedback b/c its not steel but it looks to be pretty easy to install. I don't think you would have to worry about all the bs that comes with stretching a tank. .02

Very true....it might be one of those things you have to massage to make it fit right or it might go on perfectly. I haven't heard anything negative about the company though.
there used to be a guy here that not many people spoke well of, but I remember way back when that he posted pics of a build out he did to his bike. the biggest thing he did was to bondo the stock tank so that the point of the seat fit right into a v he shaped into the tank. it looked soooo cool, of course his take was a single piece, so it was easier to work, but ....
I don't have any history with working fiberglass or metal so I know I'd jack it all up, but if I could, I'd do the exact same thing.
that being said, I don't know that I'd be comfortable buying a piece that might or might not work for me without seeing one in action up close and personal first and maybe having a conversation with someone that's had one for a while to see if it's all it's cracked up to be. sometimes they'll give you contact information of someone you can chat with and sometimes local enough that you can catch up with them.
You can stretch a stock tank with sheet mteal a little welding bonfo and fiberglass.. Very possible just alot of work doing my rear fender which doesnt look like much work was.. make it all blend and smooth... anything is possible wit time, money and work... : )
