Default Modifying a 72

So I would like to modify a 72. I found a frisco tank I like from factory metal works. I am also planning to raise it 3". How difficult would all this be to do? There are many more modifications I plan to do but this is the one I have the most concern about. I'm brand new to this forum so any help would be very much appreciated. Thank you.

Depends on tank, is the tank you found able to accomodate your fuel pump is the fuel line on the correct side etc etc etc,
Welcome anyway

If its the tank I think you're talking about you'll have to drill the frame tube and weld in mounting bungs for it because it mounts with tabs. It's nice and skinny too, doesn't hold much gas, maybe 2.2 gallons, but they are very cool tanks, have a great look. You could mount your current tank high to see if that's good enough for a while too.
