Default Won't Start after switch housings

Hey guys. I just installed chrome switch housings on my 06 springer and for some reason it won't start now. I checked for pinched wires, cut wires, etc and can't figure out why. When I turn on the ignition switch, I get a break light, but the turn signals won't work now either (and I only worked on the right side so far, haven't even touched the left side) Also, when I turn on the ignition switch the "key" symbol indicating the security system lamp comes on (and it doesn't have a security system) The directions said to disconnect the battery which I did not do- could this have tripped some switch that won't let it start now? I feel really dumb cause this should be a really simple installation, but its got me confused. Thanks for any help- much appreciated!!

Does your left turn signal work? What about your horn ?

I just installed the chrome housings myself - I didn't have a problem till I switched to low beam and I blew a fuse - I suggest you ck your fuse box as well as taking the housings apart and look for any pinched wires and rearrange them - it wasn't obvious where ever mine were pinched -
Good Luck -

It does sound like a fuse...this happened on my friends 06 Heritage. After installing the auxillary lights the turn signals stopped working as well as the lightbar....sure enough, pulled out the fuse and it was toasted!
Good Luck!

Thanks for the help- I'll check the fuses out- I never thought of that. And yes, the horn works, but the turn signals are both not working. Thanks again guys!
