Default Tach/speedometer install

I'm considering adding a H-D combo unit. Bike's an '05, and I currently don't have a tach. Is this a straight plug-n-play, or will I need to splice in the tach lead?

Anyone?

Should be a simple plug-and-play. I just listed a Dakota Digital unit in the softail classifieds if you're interested.

That's actually pretty cool, but not exactly the way I'm going with my bike.

Basically a plug and play, you do need to connect the Tach wire, but it's already there for you just plug it in to the connector. It's pink hard to miss.

I'm not crazy about it being there either, but I've got limited space on the bars, and I plan on filling that space with a GPS and drink holder.
