Ya know, your FXSTC is worth about 6-7K in todays market, does your wife ride or are you 2-up. If she wants to ride, that custom is a real good place to start..yeah, I'm biased for EVO softails, can ya tell??

My wife has ridden once with me since I've had the '96, she hates the seat, says it's too hard and not big enough. I've got the badlander seat on it. It's also been lowered a little so that makes the ride a little harsher, but not that bad. I like my bike and was looking to go with a bigger rear tire kit and then start painting it a different color, and other big mods. Now I have the go ahead to start looking at a different bike. She actually went with me to the dealer to look at the street bob and the fat boy lo. She really likes the Lo over the street bob. It also has a bigger rear seat than my current bike, so that was a big plus for her. Anyway, I'm really leaning a lot towards the Lo, I just think it's going to suit me better than the Street Bob. But the price is still an issue, but we'll take care of that when the time comes!!!

When they come out with the Cross Bones with an EVO carburated 80 incher, I might be interested. Otherwise, I will just keep my 99 Softail Custom and keep smiling.

The FXSTC is an awesome bike, get the newer version. What's the mileage on yours?

It's got just over 19,XXX miles on it. Why does everyone LOVE the EVO? Is there something wrong with the newer engines?

Most folks that seem to prefer the EVO are guys that currently have one. I have owned EVO's, Shovels, and Twincams and while I LOVE my shovel, I also understand that my Twincams are better powerplants from both a performance standpoint and a reliability perspective. Same is true with the EVO when comparing it to a new TC motor.

The EVO isn't as reliable as the TC, but it is very, very cool.
