Hey Deluxe owners………..
If your running with a rear fender bib, who made it.
The reason I ask is because I’m looking for one and
there just doesn’t seen to be a lot of choices out there.
It’s either a Chilhowee or a Mustang. Are there any
others? Even the MOCO doesn’t have one for the Deluxe.
Another question.... Does the fender bib cover the plastic fender protector
or do you still need to remove it? Does it come with all the mounting
hardware? Thanks
I'm running with the Chilhowee. The workmanship is excellent. I don't have a picture of it on the bike, but it is customized with a buffalo nickle tassle on the end and stitching along the side. I had it on all of last summer, but this summer the wife has been riding with me a lot more, so I put the "brick" back on my Deluxe and also added a detachable backrest. Last year I removed the plastic stuff, but I don't think you have to with the Chilhowee because it's big enough to cover. HD sells replacement plastic anyway. The one thing I couldn't figure out how to change is the back screw that holds the back seat/bib. It sticks way up when the bib is on and looks gawky. If anyone has a suggested mod for this I would be interested in hearing about it.
Hog, Great looking bib. Did you remove the plastic paint protector from your fender?
looks like the bib is big enough to cover it.
Ted, I’m with you. I’ve been curious about what everyone else is using (if anything) to replace those monster mounting screws on the back of the seat.
