Default FatBoy Lo x Rocker C

Hi everyone,

this is one internacional thread, I'm from Rio de Janeiro in Brazil and i have been riding Harleys for 5 years now, the first one has a '05 Sportster 883 custom and now i have this '08 Electra Glide Classic. I just bought the electra because since Harley made a lot of chances to the touring line in 09, they made a huge discount and the touring prices was almost the same as some softail models and i thought i would have much more time to touring..

Since I'm not going to Touring any more, i decided to chance my harley to another one, that fits me better (I'm 5'7 ). My dad had a Heritage and now owns a Deluxe, i usualy take his bikes for a ride and i realy like now the softail handles, is much easier to drive his bikes in the city than my big Electra. ( I use the harley to go to work every day )

In Brazil the Faboy Lo and the Rocker C will be released in January next year, so far we just have the regular fat boy and regular Rocker.

I still have some months until these bikes reach our dealer but i realy can decided which one to get.

Here in Brazil, the price of these 2 modelis is exactily the same, just have to decide each one to get.

Can you guys talk a litle about the pros and cons of each bike?

Thanks a lot

The fatboy lo is exactly that: low. My wife (5"2') fits on it perfectly. I don't know how that happens, but it seems to fit me (6") as well. You will find tons of parts for the fatboy, new and used. A rocker C comes with the frame matching colour. IMO a drawback, as it limits your possibilities to get a custom paintjob. Also, to modifie the seat and rear section of the rocker is much more expensive (and much more necessary, LOL). And if you decide to do a little touring from time to time, the FB is the better choice anyway. Can you imagine a rocker with saddlebags and a windshield?
Both are beautifull bikes (if you like rockers), it depends on what you want to do with it. Finaly, I believe it will be easyer to sell a fatboy, if you decide to do so, then a rocker. JMO.

Since prices are the same I think the question you need to ask yourself is what you want the bike to look like when you're done moding and making it your own creation.. I wanted a pro street style and I couldn't get that with a Fatboy.. I wanted more rake and the big tire.. You have to decide what you want to start with inorder to get the end result.. If you plan on leaving both stock and making no real changes other than exhaust or bars then pick the one you like the best.. I'm sure the FB Lo is more comfortable for longer rides in stock form but there are plenty of Rocker owners on here that have gone on 1000+ mile trips and had no issues..

Good luck with your choice.. Here's mine.

By the way,
It's more fun to be a Rocker on a Rocker
then a Fatboy on a Fatboy.
