Had them mounted to the engine guard on a previous bike. Really liked them. I could leave my heel on the floorboard and catch the peg with the rest of my foot. I'm not running an engine guard on current bike but have been considering the kuryakyn Mark III or IV. What i'd really like to find is something you could mount to the end of the floorboard that would let you rest your heel in it while cruising down the road.
kuryakyn Mark III or IV... Yes. Thats what I want to go with too... I just cant bring myself to put a crash bar on my fatty. The Mark III mount under the floor boards.
I definately want to get them.
It really all depends on your height and how you sit while riding. People of a shorter stature probably will not use them much if at all due to the length of their legs. If you do not have a crash bar you can get FBI jackknives or the Kury stuff.
I put these on my bike and love em. i bought them on a reccomendation because they had the "lip" at the end. I have them mounted so my heel is on the boards and the ball of my foot is on the pegs. The "lip" keeps your angled foot from falling off.
