Default Wheel Swap.

Will the stock wheels and tires off of a 05 Nightrain fit on a 97 Softail Springer? My brother is upgrading and I'm trying to do the same for FREE! lol

I don't think so. The wheel bearings are probably 3/4" rear and possibly a 25mm front on the 05 night train. The 05 doesn't have the 200 tire does it? I think that was 06. If I am not mistaken your bike has 1" axles. You may be able to swap out for the appropriate bearings, but I am not sure.

I would assume so but don't know for a fact. I think you have a 130 tire on the rear of that bike and the 05 Train would probably have a 150. I am pretty sure they went to 200 in 06. you should be able to find a tire selector online or go to an HD dealer (or perhaps website) and ask them what the stock tire sizes are.

Yeah, you are right about the tire sizes. I guess I need to find out how much wider the rear wheel is on the 05 'train compared to my 97 FXSTS.
I guess I can call the local H-D and see what they say.

Your rear tire stock is a 130, the 05 NT is a 150. You can get a "wide tire kit" from H-D that upgrades a 130 to a 150 (narrower belt, different fender hardware) from memory.
