I have the carbed 05 Fatboy and want to rejet.
What is the best kit for doing this myself? I have already changed to Screaming Eagle 2s, and will be changing the air cleaner this wekend
Kits are expensive for what you get. You can get the same results by just changing jets and doing a little tuning.
Get a slow jet that is one size larger than what you already have, cut two coils off of the slide spring, install a 1988 1200 Sportster needle, remove the idle jet plug and set the idle screw at 2 to 21/2 turns from closed. You might also want to go one size larger on the high jet.
This will cost you 20.00 or 25.00 dollars as compared to 90.00 to 100.00, and the results will be the same.
